An automation company in Bangkok, Thailand, is constantly faced with power load fluctuations and substandard power factor, which not only affects the operational efficiency of the equipment, but also leads to an increase in power costs. To address these challenges, we designed a set of capacitor compensation cabinets to optimize the power factor of the power system, improve energy efficiency, and reduce operating costs. This project marks our latest achievement in enhancing the stability and efficiency of industrial power systems.
Capacitor compensation cabinets play an important role in power systems, and their core function is to perform reactive power compensation. The so-called reactive power compensation is to balance the reactive power generated by the power equipment by adding capacitors, so as to improve the operating efficiency of the whole power grid.
Main uses:
1. Improvement of power factor
Reduce reactive power loss: Shunt capacitors can generate capacitive current to offset the reactive current generated by inductive loads and reduce the reactive power that does not do work, thus improving power factor.
Enhance the utilization rate of equipment: through capacitor compensation, it can reduce the current in the line, reduce the burden of generators, transformers and other equipment, and improve the utilization rate of these equipment
2. Reduce power loss
Reduce line loss: capacitor compensation reduces the reactive current in the line, which reduces the energy loss caused by line resistance and saves power.

Buffer load changes: capacitor compensation cabinet can quickly discharge when the load increases, slow down the downward trend of the power supply output voltage, play a buffer role, to protect the stable operation of the system.
